Las Palmas sign striker Pekhart

Las Palmas have continued to recruit strongly ahead of the start of the Spanish second tier season with the signing of striker Tomas Pekhart.

The 29-year-old has two international goals in 19 caps for the Czech Republic and was most recently at Israeli club Hapoel Be'er Sheva, where he netted 10 goals in 28 outings.

Pekhart started his career at Tottenham before playing for an array of European clubs Sparta Prague, Nuremburg, Ingolstadt and AEK Athens.

The striker has signed a two-year contract at the Gran Canarian club and joins Ruben Castro, Rafa Mir, Alvaro Lemos, Juan Cala, Martin Mantovani and Hadi Sacko as summer arrivals at Los Amarillos.
