Bale calls for Madrid improvement

Gareth Bale feels Real Madrid must improve as they get used to life under new boss Julen Lopetegui.

Madrid beat Roma 2-1 in the International Champions Cup this week, with Bale providing a brilliant assist for Marco Asensio’s opener before netting himself, and insisted there are no problems in attack following Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure to Juventus.

The Welshman was also on target in Los Blancos’ previous match against Juve and said settling into a new style of play under Lopetegui, has not been easy.

“It’s always difficult,” Bale told Real Madrid TV. “The new Coach has come in with his new ideas and we still have things to improve.

“It’s never easy to adapt to a new Coach, but in attack we are doing fine.

“We do what the Coach wants, which is scoring goals and winning games.”
