Junior Firpo to renew at Real Betis

Real Betis expect to expand the contract of wing-back Junior Firpo this week with a release clause in the region of €50m reported.

The 22-year-old made his first-team debut for Quique Setien’s side in February and displaced Riza Durmisi, who was sold for €7m to Lazio earlier this summer.

The Dominican full-back has excelled in the role and ABC de Sevilla report a ‘new, long-term commitment is days away from being signed’.

Following the recent renewal of fellow youth product Loren Moren, Betis vice president Lorenzo Serra Ferrer added: “The idea is for Junior to reach an agreement, we are in talks with his agent.”
