Bayern midfielder interesting Barca

Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal is being linked with a possible move to Barcelona from an unlikely source.

The player’s son Alonsito took to YouTube to reveal that his father has two options to get his career back on track when he leaves the Allianz Arena – Barcelona and Inter.

Mundo Deportivo reports that since the departure of Paulinho to China the Catalans need reinforcements in central midfield, and Vidal is seen as having similar characteristics. Hence, Barca see him as a possible alternative to the Brazilian.

The Bundesliga giants have told Chile international Vidal,31, that he is free to find another club in the summer as he does not figure in new boss Nico Kovac’s plans.

The Bavarians are hoping to transfer Vidal for €30m, five less than they paid Juventus for him in 2015.

However, several factors could go against him arriving at the Camp Nou, which comprise his age, the fact he has suffered serious injuries, especially to the knees, and his off-field activities including a ban for drunk driving during the 2015 Copa America.
