Real Madrid defender and France World Cup winner Raphael Varane has confessed ‘it is impossible’ to describe his current emotions.
The 25-year-old has now joined a select group of players to win the Champions League (which he has won three times) and the World Cup in the same calendar year.
“I cannot appreciate what I am currently living through, it is amazing,” Varane is cited as saying by Marca.
“To win the World Cup at 25 is special and it adds to my career which has been very special for me so far…it is impossible for me to describe my emotions.
“Ousmane Dembele joked that I had already completed the game! I really hope I am fortunate enough for this to continue.
“Kylian Mbappe? He has remarkable talent and is already very mature, and of course I would love him in my team but we cannot speak about that, just the national team.
“He has everything he needs for an incredible career.”
