The agent of Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio has ruled out a summer move for his client: “he is a very important player for Madrid.”
The 22-year-old has been afforded greater prominence in the first-team setup at the Bernabeu across the past 12 months and may gain even more importance should Cristiano Ronaldo depart.
“Marco will stay at Real Madrid, he will not be moving,” Gaggioli is cited by Diario AS telling Calciomercato.
“Next season he will be a very important player for Madrid and he is improving all the time.”
Asensio’s current deal at the Bernabeu runs through until 2023 and contains a reported €700m release clause.
The winger joined Madrid from Real Mallorca for €3m in 2014.
