Villarreal plot Coke move

Villarreal are considering a move for Schalke defender Coke Andujar, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Levante, say reports in Spain.

The 31-year-old made 17 appearances for Levante, scoring three times, to help them maintain their top-flight status in a strong second half of the campaign.

The former Rayo Vallecano player has now returned to Bundesliga club Schalke, whom he joined in 2016 from Sevilla.

A report in Marca now states the Yellow Submarine are plotting a move for the full-back as they believe Antonio Rukavina may depart this summer.

The 30-year-old made 172 appearances for Los Nervionenses, winning three Europa Leagues, before moving to Germany.

However, his spell with Schalke quickly turned sour as he suffered knee ligament damage on the eve of the previous campaign.
