Betis aim for Adan swap deal

Real Betis will use the negotiations of goalkeeper Antonio Adan’s exit to Sporting CP to ask for two of the Portuguese club’s players, say reports in Spain.

Estadio Deportivo report Argentine duo Marcos Acuna and Rodrigo Battaglia, who has attempted to terminate his contract at the club, are on the shortlist of Betis.

Adan, 31, has been the first-choice at the Seville-based club since joining from Cagliari in 2014 but Estadio Deportivo now report a deal is close to its conclusion.

The Seville-based outlet follows up on a report in Portuguese sports paper Record now stating the goalkeeper is in ‘advanced talks’ with Sporting with Los Verdiblancos keen to cash-in.

Betis are said to have agreed a deal for out-of-contract Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez, who would become first-choice with Quique Setien’s side, who will compete in the Europa League next season while West Ham's Adrian has also been linked.

Long-serving Sporting goalkeeper and Portugal international Rui Patricio looks set to leave the club this summer and is said to be actively trying to terminate his contract, with Napoli and Wolves both linked.
