Kalinic set for Sevilla switch?

Sevilla are likely to move for Milan striker Nikola Kalinic due to their unwillingness to match Celta Vigo’s valuation of Maxi Gomez, say reports.

Uruguayan Gomez netted 17 goals in his debut season in La Liga leading to interest from rival clubs, but Celta would not accept less than €30m for a transfer this summer.

Marca now state Los Rojiblancos will switch their attention to the Croatian striker, following a report in Diario de Sevilla which stated the striker has been ‘placed on the market’ by the Italian giants.

The 30-year-old joined the Rossoneri from Fiorentina last summer but managed just six goals in 31 Serie A appearances and the report says his representatives are aiming to structure a move to Spain.

Kalinic, who scored 32 goals in 68 appearances for the Viola, would add competition to Wissam Ben Yedder and Luis Muriel at the Andalusian club.
