Alaves are set to complete the signing of out-of-favour Malaga midfielder Jony on a loan deal ahead of next season.
The former Sporting Gijon winger will sign the Basque outfit on an initial season-long loan deal with an option to buy included within the move.
Jony made 36 La Liga appearances for the Asturian club in 2015/16, when they were successful in retaining their top flight status, before scoring twice in 26 outings for the Costa Del Sol club the following season.
However, fell out of favour under Coach Michel and then returned to Sporting for the second half of last season, scoring four times in 12 outings.
El Desmarque state that his Malaga contract stipulates the club cannot block his move to a top-flight club in the case of relegation.
