Spanish quartet linked to Ben Arfa

Sevilla, Valencia, Real Betis and Villarreal have all been linked with a move to free agent Hatem Ben Arfa, following his release from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 31-year-old – who was on the radar of Sevilla last summer –failed to make a single appearance in any competition for the Parisians last season, and his contract has since expired.

A report in L’Equipe, cited by ABC de Sevilla, now states four Spanish clubs are in the running for his signature, alongside a host of others including former side Olyimpique Lyonnais.

“If we talk and there is real interest on your part, why will not you come back?” Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas is cited as saying by the French newspaper.

Turkish giants Besiktas and Fenerbahce, alongside Dynamo Kyiv, Flamengo and Tigres have also been mentioned in relation to the playmaker.

In 2015-16, Ben Arfa netted 17 Ligue 1 goals and provided six assists for high-flying Nice, prompting PSG to secure his signature.
