Joachim Low: I rule out Madrid job

Germany national team manager Joachim Low has ‘absolutely ruled out’ the option of replacing Zinedine Zidane at the helm of Real Madrid.

Low had been linked with the vacancy by Diario AS, but the German has clarified he will not put himself in the running for the position at the European champions.

“I absolutely rule it out,” Low responded to questions about the Madrid job, as cited by Marca.

“I’m sure they will find a strong successor to Zidane but that is not for me to worry about, I am here with Germany in the World Cup now.”

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is the early favourite for the role, with Real Madrid Juvenil Coach Guti also said to be in the running.
