Valencia negotiate Marcelino extension

Valencia are planning to extend the contract of boss Marcelino ‘without delay’, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Los Che want the 52-year-old to commit himself beyond the year that still remains on his contract, following his achievement last season in returning the club to the Champions League.

General manages Mateo Alemany, when asked about the future of the Coach, explained that Valencia are anxious tie him down for the immediate future.

“We have a good relationship. Marcelino is happy with us and we are happy with him,” Alemany told a Press conference.

“We will have to find the right moment and the best time is when there is no competitions going on.

“In the coming months we will be able to sit down with the advantage that we now know each other well.

“The fans also know him and the matter must coincide for when there isn’t the pressure of matches, so in the not too distant future there will be news,” he promised.
