Atletico Madrid defender Sime Vrsaljko has joined a list of transfer options for Manchester United this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, Reds’ boss Jose Mourinho wants competition for Antonio Valencia at right-back as the club have allegedly received offers from Italy for Matteo Darmian.
The Croatian international, 26, can also cover at left-back and Atleti would want at least €30m for the player, despite signing him for a reported €16m from Sassuolo almost two years ago.
However, the Premier League club might not have it all their own way as Napoli have been showing recent interest in taking him back to Serie A, despite him having signed a contract extension with the Los Rojiblancos until June 2022.
Vrsaljko, who has made 30 appearances in all competitions for Diego Simeone’s men this season, was recently sent off against Arsenal in the Europa League.
