‘Neymar compatible with Ronaldo’

Neymar would be ‘compatible’ with Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid and ‘there will be changes’ this summer, according to Zinedine Zidane.

Madrid host Celta Vigo in their final home match of the season, but build-up to the match has been overshadowed by Los Blancos’ reported pursuit of Neymar, whom AS claims has told his Paris Saint-Germain teammates that he would be returning after the World Cup.

“I don’t know if [the club] are talking about Neymar, I don’t think so because what matters to us is what we’re doing now,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“I haven’t asked for Neymar, I won’t go into that. We have to finish the season well, we’ll talk about the rest later.

“I’m not the one to say anything today. I’m only thinking about what’s left of the season.

“After the Final, the club will talk things through because surely there will be changes, but right now I can’t talk about anything.

“Good players are always compatible, I don’t know about off the field, but on it there’s chemistry.

“When I played, people said I wasn’t compatible with Djorkaeff and we won the World Cup together.

“It’s not the time to talk about Neymar. We’re not concerned about it, neither will we let it disturb us.

“Everyone talks, but we won’t change or let it prevent us from preparing well for a Final. Therefore, I’m not worried.

“I wouldn’t have taken this because at the start of the season, we wanted to win everything,

but once in a while you have to accept this.

“It’s part of your career and life, you have to coexist with the negative moments. Next season, Real Madrid will do everything possible to change and fight to win the League.

“It’s a shame, but it’s the last game of the season at our stadium and we want to give one final joy to our fans by winning the 13th.

“They deserve it, so we’ll try. We’re going to give everything. The season has gone like it has.

“I think we started it phenomenally, winning three trophies, but the Copa and League went worse.

“Now we’re in the Champions League Final, we’re going to give everything to defend our troohy and we’ll try to win the one that everyone wants to win.

“The League is the most difficult to win because it’s over 38 games, but the Champions League is the pinnacle and everyone wants it.

“We can’t control the criticism, Real Madrid exist when things don’t go well. He’s a Spain international and a very good player. I like him and it’s a boost for Celta.”
