Villarreal will attempt to sign Espanyol striker Gerard Moreno in a €20m deal this summer, according to reports in the Spanish press.
The 26-year-old joined the Catalan club in 2015 for €1.5m from Villarreal, who still retain 50% of his ownership rights.
The Spanish striker signed a new deal at the RCDE Stadium in November of last year with the split ownership rights said to continue until 2022.
Diario AS now cites a report in Catalonian radio that states the Yellow Submarine can sign the striker for €20m before the end of June, with the price increasing by €5m after that date.
Moreno has netted 15 La Liga goals this season for Espanyol, whom he joined initially in 2015.
