Cillessen keen on Barca exit

Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen wants more first-team football but has no plans to force an exit from the club this summer.

The Dutch goalkeeper has played second fiddle to Marc-Andre Ter Stegen since his move from Ajax in the summer of 2016 with only three appearances across La Liga and the Champions League.

“I love this club, but I am a professional and I want to play more than 10 games every season, it's that simple,” Cillessen told Ziggo Sport, as cited by ESPN FC.

“The management already know my situation, but I also read that they don't want me to leave and they're happy with my work," he said.

“I'm not the type of player to go to war with a club. I've been here, in Barcelona, for two years and, for now, I'm going to continue.”
