Espanyol will seek to appoint Eintracht Frankfurt head of scouting Ben Manga as their new sporting director, according to a report.
The Catalan club dismissed sporting director Jordi Lardin along with Coach Quique Sanchez Flores last week and are seeking permanent replacements.
A report in Turkish-football.com states the Equatorial Guinea scout, who has an impressive track record in the Bundesliga, tops Espanyol’s wanted list.
The 44-year-old can speak Spanish and has impressed at Hoffenheim and Stuttgart before taking the position at Frankfurt, who are challenging for a Champions League place this season.
Espanyol have appointed David Gallego as interim Coach for the remainder of the campaign after Sanchez Flores won just two of his final 15 matches at the helm.
