Levante Coach Paco Lopez has warned the club are ‘not yet safe’ from relegation despite being six points above the relegation zone.
The Valencia-based side have gained 13 points in their six league games since Lopez was appointed and hold a cushion over 18th-placed Deportivo, ahead of a trip to Athletic Bilbao on Monday night.
“We are not safe yet and must finish our objective,” Lopez told reporters at his pre-match press conference, as cited by Marca.
“We have made very important progress over the past six weeks but we have to finish it off as there are still points up for grabs and we must make that count.
“This is another important match on our path and we hope to gain another positive result, we must go one match at a time.”
