Setien calls for Betis ‘calm and humility’

Real Betis Coach Quique Setien is calling for ‘calm, humility and tranquility’ despite his side winning their sixth consecutive match.

Los Verdiblancos are fifth in La Liga and hold a seven-point advantage over seventh-placed Sevilla with just five league games remaining.

“I am calling for calm, humility and tranquility,” Setien is cited as telling reporters by Sevilla Info.

“We will begin to celebrate what needs to be celebrated at the end of the season and not before that.

“Our rivals chasing us have four points and seven points fewer respectively, but 15 remain in this season and they can overtake us, so we must look in our rear-view mirror.

“Against Las Palmas I thought we could score at any moment but despite them suffering a lot, they held firm.

“I am satisfied to have 18 points from 18 and I am also happy that we now have more goals for than against, which is interesting and pleasing information.”
