Inter are keen at signing defender Joao Cancelo on a permanent basis from Valencia but do not wish to pay their €35m clause in full, say reports.
The Portugual international has been in fine form so far this season and scored his first goal for the Nerazzurri last night in a 4-0 win over Cagliari.
Cancelo is on a season-long loan deal from Los Che – with Geoffrey Kondogbia, in turn, on loan at the Mestalla – and whilst the Milanese giants wish to sign him permanently, they want him cheaper.
Calciomercato.com reports Inter as being in negotiations with the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, regarding a deal which could see a transfer fee lowered in exchange for a higher wage packet.
