Real Madrid will trigger their €4m return clause to re-sign Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Omar Mascarell before selling him to Bayern Munich, say reports.
The 25-year-old – who made nine La Liga appearances for Los Blancos in the 2012/13 campaign – joined the Bundesliga club in July 2016 and has impressed in Germany.
A report in Diario AS states he will re-join Madrid in order to be sold for a higher fee to Bayern, with Frankfurt Coach Niko Kovac – under whom Mascarell has thrived – leaving this summer to join the Bavarian.
Borussia Dortmund, Hoffenheim and Schalke have all previously been linked with a deal to the Tenerife-native, who has also had stints with Derby County and Sporting Gijon.
