Barcelona will be without Ivan Rakitic for their forthcoming league clashes with Valencia and Celta Vigo after undergoing surgery on his hand.
The Croatian suffered a metacarpal fracture in a finger on his left hand during Tuesday night’s defeat at Roma, and is targeting a return for the Copa del Rey on 21 April.
“Starting the recovery to be fit as soon as possible,” Rakitic confirmed on his Twitter account, alongside a picture of him recovering in his hospital bed.
“Thanks for your messages! #ForçaBarça”
Marca believe he will miss the Blaugrana’s next two league games but should be back to face his former club Sevilla in the Copa decider.
