Atleti eye Valencia’s Rodrigo?

Atletico Madrid may move for Valencia striker Rodrigo Moreno this summer should Antoine Griezmann leave the club, say reports in the Spanish press.

The 27-year-old has netted 14 La Liga goals in 25 starts for Los Che this campaign and has also risen to prominence with the Spanish national squad, netting against Germany last month.

The former Benfica striker, who started his career at Real Madrid and had a spell at Bolton Wanderers, is the second highest Spanish scorer in the division, behind Celta Vigo’s Iago Aspas.

A report from Cadena Ser’s Pedro Morata outlines how Atleti are keen to land the Brazilian-born forward, who is second cousin to Thiago and Rafinha Alcantara – both formerly of Barcelona.

Griezmann has been linked with a summer move to the Catalan giants, with a report release clause at Los Rojiblancos of €100m.
