Las Palmas squad had ‘many bad habits’

Las Palmas midfielder Javier Castellano has explained the club had ‘a lot of bad habits’ that Coach Paco Jemez had to eradicate.

The former Rayo Vallecano tactician became the third permanent manager of the season at Los Amarillos when he was appointed in December, but has won just two of his 14 games in charge.

“I think Paco came into a situation where he had to change a lot of bad habits,” Castellano told Radio Marca.

“He has introduced discipline and that has improved us both in training and in our performances on the pitch.

“Real Madrid? We know all their players are fantastic, but maybe they will be thinking more of Juventus, because we need the three points!”

Las Palmas lie six points from safety and 17th-placed Levante.
