Betis completed Inui deal this week

Real Betis completed all the forms to sign Eibar midfielder Takashi Inui on a free transfer ahead of Monday’s trip to Alaves, say reports in Spain.

Los Verdiblancos travelled to the Basque County to defeat the Vitoria-based side 3-1 on Monday, but Marca report a delegation travelled to Eibar over the weekend to complete the deal.

Sports director Lorenzo Serra Ferrer travelled with the club’s director general Martínez Feria along with the club’s lawyer Jose Ruiz to sign the relevant forms.

The 29-year-old has spent three seasons at the Basque club since joining from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2015, but his contract now expires in June.

The verbal agreement comes as the player is reportedly keen to make one more ‘big move’ in his career, having dismissed fresh contract talks despite initial optimism.

Inui has played 88 matches for Eibar and has grown into one of the side’s most important players but losing him as a free agent would represent a blow to the club.
