Trio still out for Madrid

Marcelo, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos remain absent for Real Madrid’s match against Alaves in La Liga on Saturday.

The trio are still suffering from injuries, but it is reported they face “at least two more weeks out”, which would also rule them out of Madrid’s Champions League last-16 second leg at Paris Saint-Germain on March 6.

Sergio Ramos is also suspended, while Marco Asensio misses out, having not trained on Friday due to a dental problem.

Alaves, on the other hand, cannot call on top goalscorer Munir El Haddadi due to the Barcelona loanee being suspended.

Los Blancos have won 12 of their 15 previous meetings with the Basques in the top flight, with no points dropped since October 2001.

Madrid squad: Keylor, Casilla, Luca; Carvajal, Varane, Nacho, Theo, Achraf, Tejero; Casemiro, Marcos Llorente, Isco, Kovacic, Ceballos; Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale, Vazquez, Mayoral

Alaves squad: Pacheco, Sivera; Ruben Duarte, Alexis, Laguardia, Maripan, Sobrino, Christian Santos, Guidetti, Ibai, Ely, Burgui, Bojan, Dani Torres, Pedraza, Pina, Manu, Hernan, Medran, Martin
