Getafe unveil Flamini signing

Getafe have unveiled former Arsenal and Milan midfielder Mathieu Flamini as a new signing on a reported 18-month contract.

The 33-year-old was a free agent having ended his one-year stint at Crystal Palace in June and he had failed to find a new club since his Selhurst Park exit.

Initial reports in Marca in January started the Frenchman was training with Los Azulones, after previously training at fellow Madrid-based outfit Rayo Vallecano.

Flamini spent seven seasons at Arsenal across two spells while also spending five years at Milan and a short-term stint at Palace.

His arrival coincides with the departure of the long-serving Mehdi Lacen, who has joined Malaga on a free transfer.
