Trio out of Madrid squad

Achraf Hakimi, Marcos Llorente and Borja Mayoral have been left out of Real Madrid’s squad for their trip to Levante on Saturday.

It marks the second game running that Achraf has been discarded by Zinedine Zidane, while a full-strength midfield means there is no room for Llorente.

Up top, the return of Isco pushes out Mayoral, with Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo all set to start at Ciutat de Valencia.

Levante, for their part, signed six players last month in Armando Sadiku, Coke, Ivan Villar, Ruben Rochina, Fahad Al-Muwallad and Giampaolo Pazzini.

Three of them – Sadiku, Rochina and Pazzini – arrived on deadline day, although only the latter is included for the visit of Madrid.

The two sides’ last meeting ended in a 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu back in September.

Levante squad: Oier, Koke Vegas; Rober, Coke, Postigo, Cabaco, Pedro Lopez, Luna; Doukoure, Lerma, Bardhi, Morales, Ivi, Lukic, Jason; Roger, Pazzini, Boateng

Madrid squad: Navas, Casilla, Moha; Carvajal, Ramos, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo, Theo; Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Asensio, Isco, Kovacic; Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale, Vazquez
