PSG plan Zidane approach

Paris Saint-Germain are putting plans in place to land Real Madrid Coach Zinedine Zidane this summer, according to reports in Spain.

The future of current PSG tactician Unai Emery – formerly of Almeria, Valencia and Sevilla – is ‘hanging by a thread’, according to a report in Diario Sport.

The Parisians missed out on last season’s Ligue 1 title to Monaco and suffered a humiliating Champions League exit when losing 6-1 to Barcelona.

The report indicates there are three key reasons as to why the French club are drawn to Zidane – his track record of success, particularly in the Champions League, his ability to manage big-name players and the fact he is French.

The Madrid Coach’s contract at the Bernabeu expires in June 2020 but his future has come under scrutiny this season due to a series of poor results and performances.
