United switch priority from Griezi to Bale

Manchester United are ‘resigned’ to not signing Antoine Griezmann and instead will refocus efforts on Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale, say reports.

The French forward decided to reject a move to United last summer to remain at Atletico Madrid – who were under a player registration ban – and looks set to spurn a move to England once more.

Griezmann has reportedly met Barcelona officials recently and United believe he will move to the Camp Nou in summer, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The report continues that Bale remains the club’s priority despite his injury record and believe they can construct a deal in summer.

United reportedly believe the Welsh forward is open to a return to the Premier League and Madrid could sell if a hefty transfer bid is lodged.
