Barcelona have confirmed that striker Paco Alcacer will miss the Clasico against Real Madrid next weekend with a thigh injury.
Alcacer pulled up just 20 minutes into Barca’s 4-0 thrashing of Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday, and the Catalans’ official website reported “an injury to the rectus muscle in his left leg.”
Consequently, the former Valencia attacker will miss next Saturday’s showdown at the Santiago Bernabeu and possibly the Copa del Rey last-16 first leg against Celta Vigo on January 4.
