Atletico Madrid full-back Sime Vrsaljko has been left out of the squad to face Roma on Wednesday as rumours grow over his future at the club.
The future of the 25-year-old, who formerly played in Italy with Genoa and Sassuolo, at Atletico is unclear after links to Serie A league leaders Napoli.
The Croatian has officially been ruled out with injury, reportedly suffering from lower back pain, but the club have not confirmed such an ailment in any statement.
Vrsaljko has only started 13 La Liga matches since joining Los Rojiblancos last summer from Sassuolo, with Juanfran preferred in the right-back slot.
