Barcelona are prepared to pay the reported asking price of €20m to sign Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil in January, according to reports in Spain.
The 29-year-old’s contract at the Emirates Stadium expires in June 2018 and the North London club risking losing him on a free transfer if they don’t cash in during the January transfer window.
The German international reportedly is keen to leave the Gunners and a report in El Mundo Deportivo states the Blaugrana are keen on his signature due to the difficultly in landing Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho.
Barca sporting director Robert Fernandez and sporting manager Pep Segura are both said to be big fans of the Germany international and will sanction a move for him in January.
