Report: Ramos out for 10 days

Real Madrid will reportedly be without Sergio Ramos for 10 days after the defender broke his nose in the Derbi on Saturday.

According to Marca, Ramos will not undergo surgery “for now” and instead wear a protective mark, starting against Athletic Bilbao on December 2.

If so, he would miss Madrid’s upcoming clashes with APOEL in the Champions League, Malaga in La Liga and Fuenlabrada in the Copa del Rey.

The 31-year-old was forced off at half-time against Athletic Madrid after he took a kick to the face from Lucas Hernandez, resulting in a bloodied nose and fractured nasal septum.

This is not the first time Ramos has suffered such an injury, the stopper having received a blow to the face from Roy Makaay in a Champions League encounter with Bayern Munich 10 years ago.

He did not go under the knife until the end of the season on that occasion, some three months after the incident.
