Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho has played down speculation over his future by stating he is ‘extremely happy’ with his current situation.
The Brazilian was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona this summer and reportedly handed in a transfer request at Anfield to force through a move, which never came to fruition.
“I'm playing in one of the biggest leagues in the world and it’s an honour,” Coutinho told reporters, as quoted by Marca.
“I’m always a happy person but right now, my focus is solely on the national team and once the match is over, then it will be Liverpool.
“Right now I am extremely happy with my life.”
