Guidetti ponders Celta exit

John Guidetti has opened the door to a January exit from Celta Vigo by stating he is ‘not happy’ at his lack of first-team football.

The Swedish international has not started a La Liga fixture under new Celta Coach Juan Carlos Unzue after falling behind summer arrival Maxi Gomez in the pecking order at Balaidos.

“It’s clear the situation with my club is not good and I want a quick solution,” Guidetti told Diario AS.

“I am not happy at the moment but when I do play well, I believe I do well but right now things are not sustainable.

“I did extremely well when I got the chance to play against Eibar in the Copa del Rey but could not keep my place in the team, it is demoralising.

“I will keep fighting and it is not certain that I will leave, football is supposed to be fun and I want to get back to that place.

“At this club we have international players in every position…Turkey, Sweden, Denmark, Uruguay, Spain, most people don’t think about that with Celta Vigo.”
