Goalkeeper Iker Casillas is confident his former club Real Madrid will recover their form after a recent run of poor results.
The Porto goalkeeper was speaking after he scooped the Golden Foot award for 2017 and reiterated his belief in Madrid bouncing back to top form soon.
“There is a lot of attention on Madrid and focus on recent results,” Casillas told Diario AS.
“You must remember this is a team who have won back-to-back Champions League titles, which is incredible difficult and has not been done before by any other club.
“It is easy to look at just a handful of games and conclude they are not so good at the moment but this is just a bad moment and we must have patience in recovery.
“La Liga is an extremely long season and the Champions League does not properly get going until February.”
