Barcelona hero Paco Alcacer believes hard work and patience were to thank for his brace against Sevilla on Saturday.
Alcacer took full advantage of his surprise start against Sevilla, scoring twice in a 2-1 victory to keep Barca four points clear at the top of La Liga.
“More than my performance, we have to emphasise that the team fought a lot tonght,” the striker said after the game.
“Games that you suffer in, like this one, always boost the team. It’s good that we’re all plugged in.
“Strikers live for goals. I started on a bad run, but ultimately the goals have gone in. I had to keep working hard and wait for an opportunity [in the first team].
“We have to take advantage of the opportunities that the Coach gives us. I’m happy with my goals but more so for the result.”
