Atletico Madrid full-back Filipe Luis faces a spell on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury, the club have confirmed.
The Brazilian suffered the injury in Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Qarabag and now faces, a yet undetermined, period of absence.
A medical report from Los Rojiblancos on Thursday confirmed the former Chelsea defender, who missed training that day, had suffered ‘an elongation on his left leg's hamstring’.
The 32-year-old has started ten matches for Los Rojiblancos this term while Juanfran, Lucas Hernandez or Sime Vrsaljko could be reshuffled to left-back.
