Ernesto Valverde is demanding two new central defenders with Palmerias’s Yerry Mina top of the list, according to reports in Spain.
The Catalan giants have largely relied upon Samuel Umtiti and Gerard Pique at the heart of their defence, with Javier Mascherano rumoured to be leaving the Camp Nou in summer and Thomas Vermaelen’s future uncertain.
Diario Sport report the deal for the Colombian international Mina is virtually complete but will only go through in January if Vermaelen is moved on and if not, a summer move is more likely.
Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly, Dan-Axel Zagadou of Borussia Dortmund and Lyon's Mouctar Diakhaby are other targets mentioned for the Blaugrana.
An eventual move for 22-year-old Mina has been previously reported in the Spanish press to cost €9m.
