Porto to ‘push out’ Casillas – report

FC Porto will ‘push out’ former Real Madrid and Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas in the January transfer window, according to reports in Spain.

The 36-year-old was linked with a number of European clubs this summer but ended up renewing his deal at Estadio do Dragao, but now El Pais have published a report detailing his stay will not be long.

The Dragons Coach Sergio Conceicao previously downplayed reports in the Portuguese press which had stated he was dissatisfied with the Spaniard’s attitude in training and use of his mobile phone.

“Casillas's behaviour is fantastic and that’s that – he works and does what I tell him,” Conceicao is quoted by Diario AS of telling reporters in Portugal.

Porto are thought to want to decrease their outgoings and Casillas is their highest earner, on a reported €5m per season following his move from the Bernabeu in 2015.
