Zidane: Kane a complete player

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has hailed Harry Kane as a ‘complete’ player but insists Tottenham Hotspur are more than just the striker.

Kane has scored 43 goals in 2017, the same as Cristiano Ronaldo, and is also the Champions League’s top scorer this season, prompting Zidane to shower praise on the Englishman without stirring any speculation.

“Ramos v Kane? We can talk about Sergio for an hour, he’s our leader, but I don’t want to say he’s just a footballer because he has everything,” the Coach continued ahead of Tuesday’s encounter at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“He’s a phenomenon but more so as a person. He’s very noble and if he has to say something, he’ll say it to your face.

“He’s direct, and that's why he’s the captain and leader of this club.

“I played with him for a year and he hasn’t changed at all, he’s still the same and that makes him phenomenal.

“We know that Kane is a great player, but Tottenham aren’t just Kane, they’re a very good team.

“Kane’s future? I don’t know it, but his present is crucial for Tottenham. He’s very good at everything, everything he does is towards goal, he always finds space. He’s a complete player. He doesn’t seem like one, but he is.

“Lloris? [Spurs] will do everything possible to win. He’s made a lot of progress and he’ll be important for them, but I look more at what we can do to score.

“They’re complete opponents of ours, and they’re growing and improving with each season. They have important players.

“Why La Liga is better than the Premier League? Everyone has their own perception, but I always dreamed about playing in La Liga because I love it, you play with the ball a lot.

“English football is different, it’s more physical and when a team are very strong physically, they have more chances to win.”
