Former Manchester United winger Memphis Depay believes “I’m going to play for Real Madrid one day.”
Depay already has experience of playing for a top team with United, but the Dutchman lasted just 18 months at Old Trafford due to poor performances and question marks over his behaviour outside football.
The 23-year-old has since gone some way towards rebuilding his career at Olympique Lyonnais, although he hopes they are only a stepping stone to a club like Madrid.
“I believe that I’m going to play for Real Madrid one day,” he told De PSV-Supporter.
“That’s my objective. When will it be? Only God knows. He’ll help me and take me there.”
