Ramos: No Madrid pen dispute

Real Madrid will not fall foul of a penalty taking dispute similar to the one which has affected Paris Saint-Germain, states Sergio Ramos.

The Parisians were in the headlines recently for the wrong reasons as Edinson Cavani and Neymar had an on-pitch spat over which of the two should take a penalty.

At Los Blancos, Cristiano Ronaldo usually takes the penalties and the Spain international confirmed there is no plans to relieve him of his duties.

“Cristiano takes the penalties here and if he isn’t on, then I do,” Ramos is quoted by Marca as telling France Football.

“That sort of dispute does not happen at Madrid due to everything being planned out before the game, we are organised and co-ordinated.

“We have a third designated penalty taker at the club too so we plan for every eventuality.

“Cavani and Neymar are both great players and I am sure they will reach an agreement.”
