Atletico Madrid full-back Filipe Luis has lamented his side’s poor performance in their defeat at home to Chelsea on Wednesday night.
It was Los Rojiblancos first defeat at their new Wanda Metropolitano home as second half goals from Alvaro Morata and Michy Batshuayi won the game for Antonio Conte’s side.
“We don’t like how we played at all,” Luis told his post-match press conference.
“Defeats can happen at any time and we obviously knew this game was going to be difficult but the manner of the defeat hurts and we will have to improve on those mistakes we made.
“We are now behind in the group and are in a difficult situation, we will have to improve and grow but also win our games from now on.”
Luis also went on to say the London club have ‘changed a lot’ since he left in 2015, when he returned to Atleti.
