Ernesto Valverde has called on his Barcelona side to keep their winning momentum ahead of their trip to Sporting CP on Wednesday night.
The Blaugrana won their opening group game 3-0 against Juventus while the Portuguese giants won 3-2 at Olympiakos.
“Winning games has changed the entire situation,” Valverde told reporters at a pre-match press conference.
“At the very start of the season everyone was saying we were a disaster and how long a season it would be, but now that we’re winning matches everything has changed.
“Of course things can change again within a month so it’s important to focus on the next game and not dwell on the past.
“Everything is amplified at this job so if you win everything is good and if you lose everything is bad but just because we are winning at the moment does not mean we will our next fixtures.
“Sporting are a difficult team – they have a lot of pace and we will have to be careful with their wide players and they can dominate the ball too so we need to be careful not to let them take the initiative.”
