Zinedine Zidane has called on his side to win their first ever match at Borussia Dortmund’s Westfalenstadion on Tuesday.
Los Blancos have previously never won at the stadium and were held to an entertaining 2-2 draw in last season’s Champions League group stage.
“All the stadiums at this level are difficult to play in,” Zidane told his pre-match press conference.
“But yes it’s true that we have never won here and it’s a massive challenge for us but our aim, as it always is, is to win the match.
“We want to breathe Champions League football, to breathe and play football, so hopefully we can all see an entertaining match.”
Madrid defeated Apoel Nicosia 3-0 in their opening match while Dortmund fell to a 3-1 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur.
