Isco revels in Madrid 200 club

Isco believes he can help Real Madrid to continued success for ‘many more years’ after making his 200th appearance for the club.

The 25-year-old, who recently extended his deal at the Bernabeu until 2022, has netted 39 times for Los Blancos since joining from Malaga in 2013.

“It was a special day, bringing up 200 appearances with the best team in the world,” Isco told Marca.

“The most important thing was to achieve this with a victory and we all hope there are many more to come.

“Winning at Alaves is never easy, it is an atmospheric ground with a tough pitch and three points are valuable.

“I am lucky to have a lot more good memories than bad ones…the best? I will never forget the day we won La Decima, and it spurs me on for many future titles.

“I feel I am growing as a player and improving, so hopefully I can help Madrid continue our success for many more years.”
