Oblak downplays Juve talk

Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak has moved to dismiss talk he could leave the club next summer amid links to Juventus.

The Slovenian shot-stopper was linked with a move to the Italian champions by reports emerging from Italy this week, while he has previously stated ‘you never know’ what the future holds in football.

“I have a contract with Atletico and I'm here so there’s nothing more I can say,” Oblak is quoted as stating by Diario AS.

Following on from Wednesday’s penalty save in his side’s 2-1 win at Athletic Bilbao, the 24-year-old told Atleti’s website: “Penalties are partly down to luck and guesswork and I was able to save one on Wednesday – I wish I could save them all”

“I just try to stop as many as I can, knowing that I will not get too upset if I’m not able to stop some from going in.”
